Boys between the ages of 13 and 18 participating in the program must be ready to live in a community setting. The Group Home does accept young men who are stepping down from, and have successfully completed, offender treatment programs. ( Boys who are actively suicidal, homicidal , chronic drug abusers, actively physically assaulting or clinically considered to be a high risk, are not considered "ready" for this level of care.) Each young man has a counselor advocate and individual therapist. Participation within the home includes individual counseling, individual, family and group therapy; and for young men over the age of 14: participation in the Preparation for Young Adulthood Curriculum (PAYA Curriculum).
