The GRIP Project - Home

Cohannet Academy is a Joint Commission-accredited 17 bed Intensive Residential Treatment Program for adolescent girls between the ages of 13 - 18, who are coping with serious mental illness and emotional disturbance along with challenging behaviors.

Located in the Goss Building at Taunton State Hospital, Cohannet Academy provides a safe environment from which the girls can learn and grow. Our shared goal for each graduate of the program will be for her to recall her stay as a turning point in her life, a brief, focused time when she learned to believe in herself, and in her future and for her to be able to access this period of learning and partnership as a lasting resource.
