The Littleton Group Home prepares young men for independent living by helping them to live respectful, dignified and increasingly responsible lives. The home is founded upon fundamentally optimistic assumptions about human nature and the human spirit. The program believes that these young men would choose to live their lives governed by pro-social values if: they are given the support in developing and clarifying those values, they have the pro-social skills to support those values, and if they are helped to find their own motivation for change.

Young men between the ages of 13 and 18 participating in the program must be ready to live in a community setting. The Group Home does accept young men who are stepping down from, and have successfully completed, offender and fire setter treatment programs. They cannot be actively suicidal, homicidal, drug abusing, physically assaultive or clinically considered to be a high risk. Each young man has a counselor advocate and individual therapist. Participation within the home includes individual counseling, individual, family and group therapy; and for young men over the age of 14: participation in the Preparation for Young Adulthood Curriculum (PAYA Curriculum).

Young men attend the local high school(s) and are able to obtain gainful employment while adhering to program guidelines. The home has a full time Educational Liaison, who works closely with the Public Schools in the Littleton area in an effort to assist the young men with any difficulties they are experiencing in school. This is done in tandem with the school's guidance counselors, teaching staff and administration. The Educational Liaison also works closely with schools in surrounding towns, when a young man is placed out-of-district, due to special educational needs, which cannot be provided within the Littleton Public Schools.

The group home is situated on two and a half acres, which has an in-ground swimming pool utilized during the summer months, and an outdoor basketball court utilized year round. The young men are encouraged to be involved in after school sports such as football, baseball, basketball, soccer and hockey - provided their school work and grades do not suffer. They have access to the local community on a daily basis, are expected to adhere to the curfew policy and are permitted to date. Young men who are seniors in high school and who fulfill the group home's requirements for having a car, are eligible to have one at the home provided they are 18 years of age.
