The Housing Options Program (HOP) is based upon the successful scattered-site supportive housing model developed at ALP. Through individualized direct service and/or collaboration with other service providers (including DMH, DMR, and MRC), HOP provides rental subsidies, housing search, and ongoing case management/stabilization services to approximately 250 individuals living with disabilities other than HIV disease, including mental illness, mental retardation, head injuries, and addiction.
HOP also partners with DMH and the Dept. of Labor in a Federally-funded national demonstration initiative known as the HomeWork Project, serving approximately 20 chronically homeless, mentally ill individuals with an interest in gaining employment.
For more information, contact the Program Director, Maureen Skehan, at 617-457-8142 ext. 304.
