The Suffolk County Juvenile Resource Center and the New Bedford Juvenile Resource Center are day treatment programs for adolescent boys ages 14-17 on probation, or in the process of community reintegration following a commitment to the Department of Youth Services.The program is a collaborative between the Office of Community Corrections, the Office of Probation, the local school system and JRI.
The JRC provides intensive community supervision and programming, treatment, education, community-involvement and competency-based phases of increased responsibility and autonomy in the community. JRI provides the clinical services that encompasses a continuum of interventions including assessment, individualized treatment planning, crisis intervention as needed, on-going community linkages for off-site services, case management and close liaison with public and private service providers.
