Peer Support Services directly respond to people who are infected and/or affected by HIV/AIDS by providing a myriad of peer-led social support activities, including support groups for HIV positive young adults in their twenties, HIV positive gay and bisexual men thirty years and older, HIV positive women and prenatally infected youth. Peer Support Services also collaborates with the Children with AIDS Program (CAP) in its SPARK Center, where HIV+ youth ages 13 to 24 serve as mentors to younger HIV+ children in an after-school program.

Other programs include the Boston-based portion of the national social marketing campaign "HIV Stops with Me", individual advocacy and referrals, monthly "socials" and other group social activities, support group facilitator training for HIV positive persons and training on "Positive Prevention"—a model of peers helping peers. Peers Support Services also recruits for and coordinates the JRI Health Consumer Advisory Board.
