Glenhaven Academy has been providing Home Based services to adolescent females and their families for over three years. Services initially began primarily in the Southeast Area of Massachusetts and have expanded to also include the Metro West Area. Our home based services are designed to be intensive and flexible to meet the individualized needs of families. We offer two different programs within our home based program:

Home Based Services:

Our Home Based services are flexible and can be as intense and as frequent as is necessary to meet the needs of each family. Our goal is generally to begin with more intense services in an effort to stabilize clients and then reduce our intensity over time while linking families to other community based services and natural supports.

Services include but are not limited to:

  • Youth Mentoring
  • Crisis Intervention
  • DBT work in the home
  • Formal therapy
  • Case Management
  • Transportation
  • School Advocacy
  • Connection to the community
  • Employment support
  • Parent training and support
  • Drug Screening

Diversion Services:

These are our most intensive services and generally involve us meeting with clients and their families 4-5 times per week. These services are designed for adolescent females who:

  • Are returning home after being in an out of home placement
  • Have experienced multiple hospitalizations
  • Are in jeopardy of being removed from their home setting due to problematic behaviors

Services offered include all the above mentioned service with the addition of Respite.

Respite allows students to spend anywhere from one night to one week at our residential campus in and effort to stabilize problematic behaviors and quickly return clients to the community. Clients are provided with 1:1 staffing, processing work and an opportunity to work through the immediate difficulties that are presenting themselves in a structured setting with few distractions. The goal of respite is to facilitate the stabilization of each client while avoiding a more permanent out of home placement.
