The Behavioral Health Center serves individuals dealing with a wide range of behavioral health conditions, including Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning disorders, eating disorders, and mood and anxiety disorders. We offer individual therapy for all ages, family and couples therapy, and group therapy. Our clinicians are trained in a range of specialty treatments.
Specialty Programs
The Metrowest Behavioral Health Center offers a range of specialty programming:
- Trauma Center Metrowest—The Metrowest location of the world-renowned Trauma Center at JRI offers the same innovative and cutting-edge evidenced-based evaluation and treatment services. Under the direction of Bessel van der Kolk, MD, our mission is to help individuals, families and communities that have been impacted by trauma, adversity, and loss to re-establish a sense of safety and predictability in the world.
- Health Psychology—Based on the principle that physical and mental well-being are intertwined, this program offers prevention and intervention techniques that promote health and improve personal wellness. We utilize state-of-the-art treatments such as mind/body approaches, cognitive-behavioral techniques, neurofeedback, yoga, and holistic healing to address behavioral health issues including mood and anxiety related conditions, eating disorders and body image concerns, and physical health problems.
- Gifted and Talented—We provide comprehensive assessment and strengths-based supportive therapeutic services designed to identify and address the unique needs of children with exceptional capacity and/or creative talent.
- Performance Enhancement—This comprehensive program offers exclusive intervention strategies, including executive coaching and EMDR, to individuals seeking personal growth and performance enhancement in career, sports, music, or other endeavors.
- Attention and Learning—This program focuses on early detection, targeted intervention, and advocacy for individuals facing developmental challenges across the lifespan. We provide comprehensive ADHD and Learning Disability evaluations for all ages, as well as a full array of therapeutic support services, including neurofeedback and skills coaching, to help individuals with attention and learning problems achieve their full potential.
